 Mike has had a love for horses and cowboys from a very young age. During high school he worked at a local feed and tack store where he learned a great deal about the importance of quality and good fitting tack to both horse and rider. While working there Mike had the opportunity to ride in Buck Brannaman clinics.
Having decided that training horses was what he wanted to do, Mike attended the Equine Program at Laramie County Community College in Cheyenne, Wyoming. Some important information learned there was the benefit of exposing horses to everything possible during the training process by working them outside and engaging them in "real" work. He has large open fields, rides client horses while performing his cowboy services at feed lots and private ranches, and keeps several head of cattle on hand for this purpose.
Mike continues to enhance his skills by regularly attending training clinics and working with his peers in the horse training industry.
He and his wife (and partner), Laura, live in Fort Lupton, Colorado with their son and future rider, Colten and his new sister Braidynne.
